A Church Converted to Residence Marienstein Road, Upper Black Eddy, PA The decoration of a historic Bucks County church which has been converted into a private residence. The client, a decorative painter and artist, has a beautiful collection of modernist furniture, ex votos, Americana, and Oceanic art. The collection was artfully arranged providing a comfortable live/work space for the client. It was decorated with modern upholstered furniture accented with architect classic modernist furniture and art. The main sanctuary was divided into two living zones and the raised apse is the dining room. The original “primitive” murals on the walls and ceiling were sensitively restored by the client. The stained glass windows are original to the church.
